Busy busy busy… doing nothing in particular.
Ye Gods, I’ve been so busy lately I’ve copletely neglected my journal.
Feels like I haven’t had any time for it since I’ve started this job. It’s not like the job is all that hard or keeps me all that busy, except when I’m actually AT work.
It’s just that with a 50 mile commute each way and nasty traffic to do it in, and no time to update my journal while I’m working, I just don’t have the time or energy to type anything up.
Not that a whole lot has happened lately. Just life.
I had a GREAT Tday though. Babs invited me and my housemates up to her place. I got there around 2:00 (told her I’d be there at Noon, so she was mildly irritated. She was over it by the time I got there though.) She put on a great spread. Best I’ve had since my parents moved off to Texas day after Tday ‘94. Oh wow… I hadn’t thought of that. It was the day after Tday. It’s been exactly 8 years and 1 day now…
Anyway, Bab’s turkey was even better than Mom’s. I do miss Mom’s pecan pie though.
But I was chatting that night with Lena, one of my coworkers at EA, and mentioned missing pecan pie. She told me she makes a mean pecan pie and will bring one in for me some time. WOOT! A pretty girl and a sweet pie. Can’t beat that. ![]()
Ok, so I’m at work and supposed to be actually DOING work, so I better get back to it.
Ok, Laura, if you read this before I get a chance to email or phone you, I was hoping you’d be my date to the EA company holiday party. Dec 13th, semi-formal. Interested?
(Hopefully I’ll get a chance to call you before you see this, but with my schedule and your lately…
