and I were standing in line for the Midnight Movie at The Del Mar and yacking. There’s a group of young ladies (probably about 15, 16) standing right behind us yacking amongst themselves. Martin is talking about… I don’t remember now. Suddenly I hear the young lady immediatly next to me say “I’ve actually had sex.”… At that moment I am completely disctracted. I don’t want to ignore Martin. We were having an interesting conversation. I don’t want to listen in on these strangers’ conversation either. But overhearing a comment like that, just out of the blue, you just can’t help it! It takes Martin about 5 seconds longer as his sentence peters out. Brief pause and then “I’m sorry, I can’t not ovehear that! [laugh]“.
Young lady: “Oh, Mom was telling me about how many times she’d had sex with…”
Martin: “Ah-ba-ba! No! No! I don’t want to know! Just making an observation.”
Girls all laugh.
